Maske's "Metal and Stone" was premiered on May 3, by the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra. Check back for a link to a Youtube performance coming soon.

MASKE TO HAVE TWO PREMIERES THIS SPRING
1) "Metal and Stone" for symphony orchestra will be performed by the Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra, Michael Alexander, conductor, on May 3, 2009.
2) A new work for saxophone orchestra will be premiered by the Siskiyou Saxophone Orchestra, Rhett Bender, Conductor, on May 22, 2009.

NEW ORCHESTRA COMMISSION – GEORGIA YOUTH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
The Georgia Youth Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Michael Alexander recently commissioned Maske for a new work. The composition will see its premiere in the spring of 2009.

UW-LA CROSSE ORCHESTRA COMMISSION AND PREMIERE
Maske was recently commissioned by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Symphony Orchestra, Enaldo A. Oliveira, conductor. The work, titled "From the River to the Skies," was completed in February, 2008, and the premiere is scheduled for May 8, 2008 at Valhalla, Cartwright Center-Gunning Addition, UW-La Crosse Campus, 1725 State Street, La Crosse, Wisconsin 54601.
